Make a meaningful difference in the lives of young learners by providing speech-language therapy services in an educational setting near Grayslake, IL. This contract role offers the opportunity to deliver impactful support to a small, focused caseload of K-2 students within a special education environment. As an integral part of the school community, you'll collaborate closely with educators and families to help students develop essential communication skills.
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active Illinois SLP license (upload a screenshot of your current status)
- Professional Educator License (PEL) for the state of Illinois (upload verification)
- Licensed to practice as an SLP-CCC or a strong Clinical Fellow (CF) will be considered
- Experience with or genuine interest in working with K-2 population
- Commitment to onsite services—remote options are not available
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy to a caseload of 9 K-2 students for 7 hours each week
- Attend and participate in district-provided new hire orientation from 8/12 to 8/14 (dates tentative)
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on student needs
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to IEP development
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation in accordance with district standards
- Consult consistently with teachers, support staff, and families to optimize therapy outcomes
