About the Opportunity Start Date: September 1st, 2026 Length of Fellowship: 10 months Location Type: Hybrid As a Decarbonization Data Analyst at Silicon Valley Clean Energy Authority, you will support SVCE in exploring electrification program data. You will leverage SVCE’s cloud‑based energy data warehouse (RADaR) to analyze customer attributes, energy usage, vehicle registration, and building characteristics. You will collaborate with staff across teams to determine data, models, visualizations (dashboards, mapping tools), reports, develop visualizations, interpret results, and present recommendations. About Our Partner Silicon Valley Clean Energy (SVCE) is a Community Choice Energy provider serving approximately 280,000 residential and commercial customers in thirteen Santa Clara County communities. SVCE’s mission is to deliver renewable, carbon‑free electricity and accelerate decarbonization through innovative local programs such as building electrification, electric vehicles and charging infrastructure, and demand management. What You’ll Do Integrate historical and current program participation data into the centralized data warehouse. Build reports within Power BI to support the Customer Success Team and the Decarbonization Roadmap plan. Develop expertise in a tech stack that includes SQL, Power BI, GitHub, GCP, and Salesforce. What We Provide A fixed monthly stipend of $4,500. Health care coverage with 100% of insurance premiums covered. 10 personal days per 10‑month Fellowship, plus all partner holidays. What We’re Looking For Proficiency in R or Python for research, data analysis, and visualization. Working SQL knowledge. Creative and critical thinking for data‑driven statistical and machine learning analyses. Self‑directed, comfortable operating in a dynamic, fast‑paced start‑up environment. Strong organizational skills and agility to evolving work products and deadlines. Excellent written and oral communication, simplifying complex information. Ability to work onsite on a hybrid basis; only candidates within commuting distance of the site will be considered. Commitment to a fair workplace honoring diverse perspectives. Authorization to work in the United States for the duration of the fellowship (no visa sponsorship). Physical ability to move objects under 25‑50 pounds as needed. At least 18 years of age to apply. Nice‑to‑Haves Prior experience in research, non‑profit, government, utility, or start‑up spaces. Experience with data warehouses, relational databases, and familiarity with multiple database types. Experience with GIS or other geospatial software tools. Experience with project management software (Trello, Asana, Monday.com). Experience with Salesforce. Familiarity with version control (GitHub) and coding best practices. Experience with data visualization/BI tools such as Tableau, Looker Studio, Power BI, etc. Fair Labor Standards Act Notice Climate Corps Fellowships are classified under the Fair Labor Standards Act as temporary, educational internships. Fellows receive a living stipend and professional development support, but no traditional employment relationship is created.
