About the Opportunity Start Date: September 1st, 2026 Length of Fellowship: 10 months Location Type: Hybrid (on‑site work periodically as needed) As a Decarbonization Data Analyst in the Climate Corps Fellowship program, you’ll support Silicon Valley Clean Energy Authority (SVCE) in exploring electrification program data. Leveraging SVCE’s cloud‑based energy data warehouse (RADaR), you will work with data, models, visualizations (dashboards, mapping tools), and reports to develop insights and recommend actions. About Our Partner: Silicon Valley Clean Energy Authority Formed in 2016, SVCE is a Community Choice Energy provider serving about 280,000 residential and commercial accounts in thirteen Santa Clara County communities. It focuses on building electrification, electric vehicles, charging infrastructure, policy support, and demand management to accelerate decarbonization. What You’ll Do Integrate historical and current program participation data into the centralized data warehouse. Build reports in Power BI to support the Customer Success Team and the Decarb Roadmap Plan. Develop expertise across a tech stack that includes SQL, Power BI, GitHub, GCP, and Salesforce. What We Provide Fixed monthly stipend of $4,500. Health care coverage with 100% of premiums covered by SEI. 10 personal days (for a 10‑month fellowship) plus all observed holidays. Professional networking and learning opportunities. University of California Climate Stewards Certification to lead community and ecosystem resilience initiatives. What We’re Looking For Proficiency in R or Python for research, data analysis, and visualization. Working SQL knowledge. Creative and critical thinking in data‑driven analytics, including statistics and machine learning models. Self‑directed, adaptable in a dynamic, fast‑paced start‑up environment, working both independently and in teams. Strong organization, agility, and ability to meet evolving deadlines. Excellent written and oral communication skills, distilling complex information simply and understandably. Capability to work onsite on a hybrid basis; must currently reside within commuting distance of the site address. Commitment to a fair workplace honoring the voices and values of all individuals. Authorization to work in the United States for the duration of the fellowship (seed funding, no visa sponsorship). Occasional physical tasks such as moving or light lifting (under 25–50 pounds). Minimum age of 18 years. Nice‑to‑haves Past experience in research, non‑profit, government, utility, or start‑up settings. Experience with data warehouses, relational databases, and database familiarity. Experience with GIS or other geospatial tools. Experience with project management software (Trello, Asana, Monday.com). Experience with Salesforce. Familiarity with version control (GitHub) and coding best practices.
