Job Title: Industrial Spray Painter Job Description

This role focuses on industrial spray painting within a manufacturing facility. You will prepare, mix, and apply paint to both components and finished products, ensuring they meet quality specifications before shipment to customers. The position involves operating spray painting equipment in a dedicated booth and handling materials using forklifts or pallet jacks as needed.

• Operate industrial spray painting equipment in a manufacturing environment to paint components and finished products according to specifications.
• Prepare surfaces and perform paint prep to ensure proper adhesion and a high-quality finish.
• Mix paints to the required formulas and specifications, maintaining consistency in color and finish.
• Work inside a spray booth to fully complete each unit, ensuring even coverage and adherence to quality standards.
• Move products to and from the paint booth using a forklift and/or pallet jack when required.
• Inspect painted items for defects or inconsistencies and make necessary touch-ups or corrections.
• Follow established safety procedures and guidelines while working with paints, solvents, and industrial equipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the spray booth and surrounding production space.
• Collaborate with production team members to meet daily schedules and customer delivery timelines.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience spray painting in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
• Proficiency in operating spray guns and industrial painting equipment.
• Ability to mix paint accurately to specified formulas and finishes.
• Experience with paint preparation and surface preparation for industrial applications.
• Material handling experience using a forklift and/or pallet jack.
• Ownership of steel-toe footwear suitable for a manufacturing environment.

• Experience with industrial paint types and application techniques.
• Familiarity with working in a spray booth environment.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions related to paint specifications and production requirements.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure high-quality finishes on components and finished products.
• Reliability and willingness to support occasional overtime when production needs require.

This position is based in a manufacturing facility and is primarily performed in and around an industrial spray booth. The role follows a first-shift schedule, typically from 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday, with 10-hour workdays and occasional work on Fridays and Saturdays depending on production demands. You will work with spray guns, industrial paints, forklifts, and pallet jacks in a fast-paced environment that requires adherence to safety procedures. Steel-toe footwear is required, and you will be working in an industrial setting that may involve exposure to paint fumes, noise, and moving equipment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of South Bend, IN.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
