Job Description

One of the premier Dermatology practices is seeking a Dermatology Medical Biller to support accurate claims processing, payment posting, denial resolution, insurance follow-up, and reimbursement activities. Responsibilities:

• Review dermatology claims and billing documentation for accuracy, including CPT, ICD-10-CM, HCPCS, and modifiers.
• Ensure accurate charge capture and compliance with payer-specific dermatology billing requirements.
• Prepare and submit insurance claims and monitor accounts for timely reimbursement.
• Research and resolve claim rejections, denials, underpayments, and outstanding accounts receivable.
• Follow up with insurance carriers and communicate with providers or clinical staff to resolve billing and documentation issues.
• Post payments and maintain accurate patient, insurance, and billing information within EMR and practice management systems.
• Stay current on payer guidelines, dermatology billing requirements, and industry standards.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of medical billing experience, with Dermatology billing experience strongly preferred.
• Experience using EMR/practice management systems such as eClinicalWorks, Athena, Allscripts, Practice Fusion, or AdvancedMD is required.
• Medical Billing/Coding certification is preferred.

In the spirit of pay transparency, we want to share the base salary range for this position is $23.00 – $26.00/hr. not including benefits, potential bonuses or additional compensation. If you are hired, your base salary will be determined based on factors such as individual skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location. In addition, we also believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role.
