Job Details:

Job Title: ICU Registered Nurse
Location: Chesapeake, VA

Pay Range: 2072.32 - 2175.94
Schedule: 19:00 - 07:30 (Night 4x12-Hour; 3x12s or 4x12s; Every other weekend, floating, and holidays within the contract are required)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Candidate Type: Traveler
Requirements: Active Virginia or Compact RN license in hand at the time of submission; proficient in Epic; strong neuro critical care experience; ventilator management; IV drip titration; telemetry monitoring; conscious sedation; dysrhythmia recognition and management; emergency response and critical care management; BLS (American Heart Association only); ACLS (American Heart Association only); NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS); no license or background hits; local RN candidates living within 50 miles of Chesapeake Regional Healthcare are not eligible
Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care to patients in the intensive care unit.
• Apply neuro critical care knowledge in the management of critically ill patients.
• Manage ventilators, IV drips, telemetry monitoring, and conscious sedation.
• Recognize and manage dysrhythmias while responding to emergency and critical care needs.
• Float to the Stepdown Unit, Emergency Department, or Medical-Surgical units to care for ICU patients being held.
