Relate Search has partnered with a global manufacturer in a rapidly growing industry to add an Electrical Engineer to its Chicago-area facility. This leadership role will support all stages of the high-speed manufacturing process, from raw materials through finished products, while supervising plant electricians and electronic technicians. The Electrical Engineer will improve equipment reliability, lead electrical projects, and support plant construction, modifications, and equipment installations. Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and supervise plant electricians and electronic technicians while promoting safe and effective work practices.
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical equipment failures and implement preventive and corrective actions that improve reliability.
• Test, modify, and maintain electrical machinery, control equipment, circuitry, motor controls, drives, and power distribution systems.
• Develop electrical diagrams, drawings, and specifications for equipment installations, plant modifications, and expansion projects.
• Plan and oversee electrical testing, construction, equipment installations, and modifications while recommending equipment repairs or replacements.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of electrical engineering experience within a high-speed manufacturing environment, including at least 3 years of supervisory experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience combined with an associate degree.
• Experience with control systems, industrial power distribution up to 4,160 volts, instrumentation, calibration, and facility systems.
• Hands-on knowledge of Allen-Bradley PLCs, AutoCAD, motor controls, VFDs, DC drives, and industrial process control systems.
• Ability to travel overnight approximately 10% and provide additional shift, night, weekend, or overtime support when operationally necessary.
