Patient Care Associate

Site: The Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital Corporation Mass General Brigham Job Summary: This role assists patients with activities of daily living, monitors vital signs, and maintains patient records under licensed supervision. A $750 sign‑on bonus is available. Essential Functions Performs vital signs, weights/heights, intakes, and outputs accurately. Documents all information in the medical record as required. Interacts with patients and their families effectively. Assists patients with basic hygiene tasks, including bathing, dressing, toileting, and feeding. Turns and repositions patients in bed and moves them to a wheelchair when necessary. Reports health concerns to nurses. Qualifications Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent (preferred). No experience in lieu of a degree. Licenses and Credentials: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, Certified Medical Assistant (national), Emergency Medical Technician – Paramedic (Massachusetts) (preferred), Nursing Assistant (LNA – New Hampshire) (preferred). Experience: 1–2 years in patient care or elder care (preferred). Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Ability to understand written and oral instructions; knowledge of medical terminology; strong patient/customer service skills; ability to lift up to 35 pounds; proficient computer skills for electronic medical records. Physical Requirements Standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling tasks varying from occasional to frequent. Gross and fine manipulation, handling, positioning, and general mobility tasks. Constant use of vision, hearing, speaking, and feeling. Benefits & Compensation $750 sign‑on bonus. Pay range: $20.58 – $26.58 per hour. Grade 3. Remote type: onsite. Work location: 300 First Avenue. Regular 24‑hour weekly schedule – day shift (United States).
