Histology Technician

Pride Health is hiring a Histotechnician to support our client’s medical facility in Oklahoma City, OK . This is a 3-month contract with the possibility of a contract opportunity that could convert into a full-time role, and it's a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization! Pay Rate: $45 - $55/hr. on W2 .Shif t: 11:00 pm - 7:30 am 5:00 am to 1:30 p Key Responsibiliti esPerform routine and non-routine histology procedures for tissue specimen preparatio n.Process tissue specimens, including embedding, microtomy, and H&E stainin g.Prepare and coverslip slides using manual or automated method s.Assist with special stains as assigned by the Histology Manager/Superviso r.Complete accessioning and reporting documentation accuratel y.Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of laboratory equipmen t.File completed tissue blocks and slide s.Follow laboratory quality control, quality assurance, and safety procedure s.Maintain compliance with CLIA, CAP, and all applicable federal, state, and local regulation s.Keep the laboratory clean, organized, and operating efficientl y.Perform other duties as assigne Qualificati onsAssociate degree (A.A. or A.S.) with at lea st 1 year of Histotechnician experie nce within the last 10 year s, orHigh School diploma or equivalent wi th 5 years of full-time Histotechnician experie nce within the last 10 yea rs.HT (ASCP) certification or ASCP eligibil ity preferred, or equivalent qualifying experien ce.Strong experience wi th routine histology, tissue processing, embedding, microtomy, and H&E stain ing is requir ed.Experience wi th Special Stains ( SS) a nd Immunohistochemistry (I HC) is preferr ed.Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced laboratory environme ly.
