Corporate Controller

This role is based in Columbus, Wisconsin. LOCATION: Columbus, Wisconsin Responsibilities Lead and mentor corporate finance team members, promoting accountability and professional development. Oversee the corporate finance function including general ledger, financial reporting, controls, budgeting and forecasting, capital expenditures, cash management, tax compliance, risk management, and shareholder transactions. Ensure accurate and timely preparation of consolidated financial statements by managing monthly and year-end closing processes. Collaborate with senior leaders to review actual results versus plans, communicate KPI trends, and develop action plans to achieve financial goals. Distribute financial statements and reporting to internal and external users with executive-level summaries. Co-lead annual and long-term financial planning and budgeting; partner with leaders to assess financial implications of strategic goals; oversee monthly/quarterly/annual budgets and forecasts. Co-lead the daily execution of accounting policies and procedures in accordance with GAAP and tax regulations; provide guidance on complex accounting issues and new standards. Oversee daily liquidity, cash flow planning, and short- and long-term financing strategies. Manage capital structure initiatives, including debt and equity transactions, refinancing, and banking relationships. Manage preparation and execution of year-end financial statement audits, benefit plan audits, and bank covenant reporting; provide information to independent auditors. Serve as a direct point of contact for shareholder relations and ownership family office support. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting (B.A./B.S.) from a four-year college or university; fifteen years of progressive experience; CPA or CMA; industry and public experience preferred. Strong knowledge of US GAAP, general and cost accounting, internal controls, and company policy. Ability to analyze complex concepts, communicate implications clearly, and recommend actions. Self-motivation in a rapidly growing environment focused on cost containment, revenue enhancement, and operating income performance. Intellectual curiosity; comfortable challenging the status quo and identifying new approaches to processes. Strong interpersonal skills and business acumen; ability to build and grow relationships. Experience with system implementations and transformations. Effective written and verbal communication; ability to collaborate from board room to plant floor. Ability to analyze details and work quickly and accurately; positive attitude and ability to establish relationships with stakeholders. High sense of urgency in providing strong service and follow-through. Experience working with manufacturing operations and geographically dispersed teams. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and various financial software and BI tools. Languages Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business materials. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the public. Mathematical Skills Ability to calculate figures and amounts, apply basic algebra and geometry concepts, and analyze quantitative information. Reasoning Ability Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions; interpret diverse technical instructions and manage multiple variables.
