The Division of Pediatric Hospital Medicine at The Bernard and Millie Duker Children’s Hospital at Albany Medical Center is seeking a full-time physician to join a well-established and collaborative team. Clinical and Academic Responsibilities Inpatient pediatric care and newborn care Pediatric sedation and complex care management Active teaching of medical students and residents in Pediatrics, Medicine-Pediatrics, and Family Medicine Position Details and Requirements MD/DO or related degree with board certification or eligibility in Pediatrics Board certification or eligibility in Pediatric Hospital Medicine encouraged but not required Strong communication skills, with a collaborative and multidisciplinary approach to patient care Ability to teach, mentor, and collaborate with medical students, medical residents, and other healthcare providers Opportunities for professional development and involvement in medical education Department and Facilities Robust academic Department of Pediatrics with multiple residency programs Diverse and highly respected division with a strong focus on patient care, education, and quality improvement Sponsored translational research and comprehensive clinical services Home to the region’s only Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Sole Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) serving 23 counties Only facility in the region offering 24/7 pediatric emergency services Benefits Competitive base salary range for Assistant Professor $190,474-$210,474.
