About the Role:
The Human Resources Generalist plays a pivotal role in managing and supporting the full spectrum of HR functions within the organization, ensuring alignment with business goals and compliance with employment laws. This position is responsible for fostering a positive workplace culture by addressing employee relations, administering benefits, and facilitating talent acquisition and retention strategies. The HR Generalist acts as a trusted advisor to both management and employees, providing guidance on policies, performance management, and conflict resolution. By maintaining accurate HR records and generating insightful reports, this role supports data-driven decision-making to enhance organizational effectiveness. Ultimately, the Human Resources Generalist contributes to building a motivated, engaged, and high-performing workforce that drives the company’s success.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in a human resources role with generalist responsibilities.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices applicable in the United States.
- Proficiency with HR information systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional HR certification such as PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent.
- Experience with HRIS platforms, like ADP.
- Background in employee engagement and organizational development.
- Familiarity with diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
- Experience working in a fast-paced or multi-site environment.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the recruitment lifecycle including job postings, screening candidates, conducting interviews, and onboarding new hires.
- Administer employee benefits programs, payroll coordination, and maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Serve as a point of contact for employee relations issues, providing counseling, conflict resolution, and disciplinary guidance as needed.
- Maintain and update HR records, prepare reports on HR metrics, and ensure data accuracy within HR information systems.
- Support performance management processes including goal setting, evaluations, and development plans.
- Coordinate training and development initiatives to enhance employee skills and career growth.
- Collaborate with management to implement HR policies and procedures that promote a positive and inclusive workplace environment.

The Human Resources Generalist utilizes strong communication skills daily to effectively interact with employees at all levels, ensuring clear understanding of policies and procedures. Analytical skills are applied when reviewing HR metrics and compliance data to identify trends and recommend improvements. Proficiency in HRIS and other software tools enables efficient management of employee records, benefits administration, and recruitment processes. Conflict resolution and problem-solving skills are essential for addressing employee relations issues and fostering a collaborative work environment. Additionally, organizational and multitasking abilities support the management of diverse HR functions simultaneously, contributing to the overall operational success of the HR department.
