A Pest Control Service Technician is responsible for inspecting residential and commercial properties to identify pest issues and applying appropriate treatments to eliminate them. The role requires adherence to safety protocols and effective communication with customers while maintaining accurate records of services provided. Technicians may work both independently and as part of a team, focusing primarily on general pest and rodent control. This position involves local travel to various client locations.
Responsibilities
- Inspect residential and commercial properties for pest infestations
- Identify types of pests and determine appropriate treatment methods
- Apply pest control treatments safely and effectively
- Follow safety compliance procedures with chemicals and equipment
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding services and prevention tips
- Maintain accurate service and treatment records
- Handle chemicals in accordance with regulatory guidelines
- Diagnose ongoing pest problems and recommend solutions
Preferred Qualifications
- Entry-level experience in pest control
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Effective time management abilities
