Medical Laboratory Technician - Microbiology - Providence Anchorage

We are hiring for Medical Laboratory Technician position at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, AK!

Position is full-time, 1.0 FTE, 8-hr Variable shifts, 40 hours per week.

Provides accurate, timely and cost-effective laboratory testing of patient samples to aid in diagnosis and treatment of disease. Provides technical expertise to Providence Alaska Medical Center Lab and other healthcare institutions.

Required Qualifications:

• Associate's Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or equivalent educ/experience
• Within 6 months of hire: National Medical Laboratory Technician - American Society for Clinical Pathology or
• Within 6 months of hire: National Medical Laboratory Technician - American Medical Technologists or
• Within 6 months of hire: National Medical Laboratory Technician - American Association of Bioanalysts or
• Upon hire: National Medical Technologist - American Society for Clinical Pathology or
• Upon hire: National Medical Technologist - American Medical Technologists or
• Upon hire: National Medical Technologist - American Association of Bioanalysts or
• Upon hire: National Medical Laboratory Scientist - American Society for Clinical Pathology or
• Upon hire: National Clinical Laboratory Scientist - American Society for Clinical Pathology or
• Upon hire: National Laboratory Tech - United States Government

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1 year clinical lab experience

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
