Clinical Laboratory Technologist - Molecular Micro

Labcorp seeks a Clinical Laboratory Technologist Trainee for its Molecular Micro department in Burlington, North Carolina. The role involves performing molecular microbiology testing procedures, operating laboratory instrumentation, and ensuring specimen quality. New graduates are welcome with full training provided.

Responsibilities

• Assess specimen acceptability according to established quality standards
• Perform routine and complex molecular microbiology procedures per Standard Operating Procedures
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation
• Execute preventative maintenance, quality control, and reagent preparation tasks
• Report accurate test results and maintain safe work environment

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology
• CLIA-compliant science coursework (non-traditional degrees acceptable)
• Ability to pass color blindness screening test
• Proficiency with computers and laboratory information systems
• Preferred: 3+ months clinical laboratory experience or ASCP/AMT certification
