Clinical Laboratory Technologist - Mass Spectrometry
Labcorp
Labcorp seeks a Clinical Laboratory Technologist trainee for its Mass Spectrometry team in Burlington, North Carolina. The role involves performing laboratory procedures, operating instrumentation, and ensuring specimen quality in a Thursday-Sunday, 2:00pm-12:30am schedule. Full training provided for qualified candidates.
Responsibilities
- Assess specimen acceptability according to established laboratory criteria
- Perform routine and complex technical procedures following departmental protocols
- Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot instrumentation for proper functionality
- Conduct preventative maintenance, quality control, and reagent evaluation procedures
- Report accurate test results and maintain safe work environment
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology
- Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
- Proficiency with computers and laboratory information systems
- Strong attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills
- ASCP or AMT certification (preferred)
- Three months or more of clinical laboratory testing experience (preferred)
