Clinical Laboratory Technologist - Chemistry
Labcorp
Labcorp seeks a Clinical Laboratory Technologist Trainee for chemistry testing in Burlington, NC, working Monday-Friday 4:30 PM to 1:00 AM. The role involves specimen processing, instrument operation, quality control, and technical troubleshooting in a diagnostic laboratory setting. New graduates receive full training.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate specimen acceptability according to established criteria
- Perform routine and complex technical procedures following departmental protocols
- Monitor, operate and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation
- Prepare and evaluate reagents and quality control materials
- Document preventative maintenance and report test results timely
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology
- ASCP or AMT certification preferred
- 3+ months clinical laboratory testing experience preferred
- Proficiency with computers and laboratory information systems
- Pass standardized color blindness test
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
