Clinical Laboratory Technologist - Toxicology

Labcorp

Labcorp seeks a Clinical Laboratory Technologist Trainee for its toxicology department in Burlington, North Carolina. The role involves performing laboratory procedures, operating instrumentation, and ensuring specimen quality in a Tuesday-Saturday evening shift. Training is provided for qualified candidates.

Responsibilities

Evaluate specimen acceptability according to established laboratory criteria
Perform routine and complex technical procedures following departmental protocols
Operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to maintain proper functionality
Conduct preventative maintenance and document quality control procedures
Report accurate and timely test results to support patient care delivery

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, clinical laboratory science, or medical technology
Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
Proficiency with computers and laboratory information systems
Strong attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills
ASCP or AMT certification (preferred)
Three months or more clinical laboratory testing experience (preferred)
