Clinical Laboratory Technologist - Core Chemistry

Labcorp seeks a Clinical Laboratory Technologist Trainee for core chemistry testing in Burlington, North Carolina. The role involves performing routine and complex laboratory procedures, operating instrumentation, and ensuring quality patient care through accurate specimen processing and result reporting.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate specimen acceptability according to established testing criteria
• Perform routine and complex technical procedures per departmental protocols
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation for proper function
• Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or quality control materials
• Document preventative maintenance and quality control procedures

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology
• CLIA-compliant science credits or non-traditional degree equivalents
• Proficiency with computers and laboratory information systems
• Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
• 3+ months clinical laboratory testing experience (preferred)
• ASCP or AMT certification (preferred)
