Lidar Analyst

Job Summary

We are seeking a Lidar Analyst with a minimum of three years of experience in lidar data processing. The ideal candidate should have expertise in point classification, quality control, and generating various lidar-derived products. Familiarity with commonly used lidar and derived product formats is essential.
This is a hybrid position based out of one of the following office locations: Houston, TX, Lafayette, LA or Frederick, MD.

Responsibilities

• Process and analyze lidar data efficiently and accurately.
• Perform point classification and quality control checks.
• Generate and manage various lidar-derived products.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, such as the USGS Lidar Base Specification.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of experience in lidar data processing.
• Proficiency in TerraSolid products, Global Mapper, ArcGIS Pro, and QGIS.
• Strong understanding of lidar data formats and derived product formats.
• Knowledge of industry standards such as the USGS Lidar Base Specification is an asset.

Location

This position is a hybrid role based out of one of the following office locations: Houston, TX; Lafayette, LA; or Frederick, MD.
