Human Resources Manager

Job Summary Supports Human Resource Business Partner (HRBP) and leadership to successfully implement local initiatives, execute regional and corporate programs, and create an environment that attracts, develops, retains, and engages talent throughout the Operating Company (OpCo) to deliver business goals. Responsibilities Partner with HRBP to execute core HR processes (performance management, talent management, total rewards, compensation, training and development, transitional return to work). Provide coaching and guidance to leaders and associates on HR policies and procedures. Collaborate with leaders and COEs to support recruitment and staffing plans. Work with HRBP to drive an inclusive and diverse culture. Develop, implement, and administer programs to enhance associate engagement and satisfaction (e.g., Sysco Speaks action planning). Handle employee and labor relations investigations and conflict resolution. Review, interpret, administer, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies. Enter initial report into RisxFacs for Worker' Compensation and act as liaison between Gallagher Bassett and associate. Assist in determining training needs and developing programs to improve performance and professional development. Qualifications Education Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a closely related field required for external candidates; preferred for internal candidates. Experience 5 years of experience in Human Resources management or equivalent, with 3 years in a supervisory position preferred; or an equivalent combination of related training, education, and Sysco experience. Certificates, Licenses and Registrations Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI) Professional Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR) certification preferred. Experience with systems applications such as SAP, Workday, etc. preferred. Professional Skills Active listening and effective communication. Motivating, developing, and directing people. Understanding and managing reactions of others. Using logic and reasoning to evaluate alternatives. Problem identification and solution development. Cost-benefit analysis of potential actions. Physical Demands Ability to sit, stand, walk, use hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and telephone. Frequently sit and reach with hands and arms. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Working Conditions Limited travel to Sysco facilities or operating companies. Use of office equipment such as desktop/notebook computers, copiers, printers, scanners, telephones, and calculators. Work environment typically moderate in noise level. Able to work in various indoor and outdoor climates and driving conditions.
