- - -The SD Government (SDG) Sales Director, Special Mission Aircraft Connectivity , is responsible for developing and winning new business in the United States, specifically in the domain of satellite communications (SATCOM) capabilities for Special Mission Aircraft. This includes Contractor-Owned, Contractor-Operated (COCO) Airborne ISR, Aerial Firefighting, MEDEVAC, SAR, Law Enforcement, and other related missions.You will work closely with the SVP, SD Government Sales to achieve your annual targets and objectives. This is a relatively new focus area for SD Government and so the successful candidate must have a strong track record of generating new business and revenue.With significant recent growth, now is a great time to come and join the #1 global provider of end-to-end Military and Government Aero Connectivity solutions!COME ON BOARD THE SD GOVERNMENT SALES TEAM!How will you make a difference?Responsible for developing a go-to-market plan in the United States, specifically to address the sale of SATCOM equipment and airtime into the domain of Government Special Mission AircraftDevelop a pipeline and close near to medium term new business, in accordance with the company’s financial targetsSchedule and attend on-site customer demos in partnership with the pre-sales engineering teamUse entrepreneurial 'flair' to create compelling and innovative commercial proposalsPartner with various internal groups (e.g., Engineering, pricing, marketing) when developing new proposals and commercial offersRepresent SDG at various regional events, trade shows and conferences to promote our products, increase market awareness and develop new relationshipsWork autonomously with minimal supervision (post initial onboarding training and familiarisation period) while maintaining good communication with the wider team.Maintain CRM and provide regular and accurate opportunity and pipeline status’Qualifications7-12 years of B2B or B2G sales experience in a related field (e.g. Avionics )5-7 years of experience in the domain of Special Mission AircraftAbility to travel up to 50%Required Skills, Talents, & ExperienceAble to build and develop strong relationships, both internally and externallyExcellent verbal communication and presentation skillsHigh quality proposal writing and commercial acumenDemonstrates strong entrepreneurial behaviorsStrong planning, organizational, analytical, leadership, interpersonal, decision-making, oral, and written communication skills.Strong negotiation, conflict resolution, and customer service skills.Preferred Skills, Experience, and TalentsExisting contacts and network within the domain of Special Mission AircraftPrior experience in military or commercial satellite communications (SATCOM)Experience in selling or delivering aircraft modificationsApplicants with previous military service are encouraged to applyAbility to learn quickly and make effective decisionsMeet tight time constraints and deadlinesAct tactically to meet near-term goals and objectivesThink strategically to help position for future growthEqual Pay Disclosure(s)Base Pay :160,000.00 - 200,000.00 USD AnnualTarget Annual Short-Term Incentive :Commission PlanEligible for Incentive Stock Program :YesBenefits :Gogo offers competitive benefits including medical, dental and vision coverage with plans that can fit each employee’s needs.
