What’s yours?Position OverviewThe Industrial Engineer plays a critical role in optimizing manufacturing operations by designing efficient plant layouts, improving process flows, and establishing accurate labor and capacity requirements. This position partners closely with Operations, Engineering, and Continuous Improvement teams to drive safety, productivity, quality, and deliveryperformancewhilesupportingnewproductlaunchesandoperationalexcellenceinitiatives.Throughdata-drivenanalysisandprocessoptimization,the IndustrialEngineerhelpsensurethefacilityoperatesatpeakefficiencyandispositionedtomeetcustomerandbusinessobjectives.What you'll doDevelop,implement,andoptimizeplantlayouts,processlayouts,andmaterialflowstrategiestoimprovesafety,quality,andoperationalefficiency.Conductcycletimestudies,laboranalyses,andworkforceplanningactivitiestosupportproductionrequirementsandcapacityutilization.Analyzeproductionprocessesandbalancemanufacturinglinestomaximizeproductivityandeliminateinefficiencies.Performergonomicassessmentsandsafetyevaluations,implementingcorrectiveactionstoreduceriskandimproveworkplaceconditions.Leadandparticipateinindustrialengineeringstudies,capacityanalyses,andcontinuousimprovementinitiativesacrossmanufacturingoperations.Supportnewproductlaunchesandprocesstransfersbyestablishinglayouts,processflows,cycletimes,andstaffingrequirements.Partnerwithcross-functionalteamstodevelopandmaintainstandardwork,operationalmetrics,andperformanceimprovementplans.Identifyandremoveindustrialengineering-relatedbarriersthatmayimpactsafety,quality,productivity,ordeliveryperformance.All other duties as assignedWho you areBachelor'sdegreeinIndustrialEngineering,ManufacturingEngineering,MechanicalEngineering,orarelatedengineeringdiscipline.Minimumof3yearsofIndustrialEngineeringexperienceinamanufacturingenvironment;5+yearspreferred.Demonstratedexperienceconductingtimestudies,laborplanning,cycletimeanalysis,andcapacityplanning.Knowledgeofplantlayoutdesign,processoptimization,linebalancing,andworkflowimprovementmethodologies.Experienceperformingergonomicassessmentsandapplyingworkplacesafetyprinciplesinmanufacturingenvironments.Stronganalytical,problem-solving,anddatainterpretationskillswiththeabilitytomakedata-drivenrecommendations.Effectivecommunicationandcollaborationskillswiththeabilitytoinfluencecross-functionalteamsandstakeholders.Provenabilitytomanagemultiplepriorities,projects,anddeadlinesinafast-pacedenvironment.ProficiencyinMicrosoftOfficeapplications,particularlyExcel;familiaritywithLeanManufacturingandContinuousImprovementmethodologiespreferred.Abilitytoworkinbothofficeandmanufacturingenvironments,includingstanding,walking,climbingstairs/ladders,andoccasionallyassistingwithmovingmaterialsweighing50poundsormore;abilitytotravel10%+asneeded.What's in it for you?Annual base salary range: $97,000- $105,000Bonus target range: 20-30%Generous benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, disabilityA company culture that prioritizes internal development and professional growthTime off with pay401(k) plan with a degree of employer matchingPaid parental leaveWellness programs and product discountsPlease note, all offers presented to candidates are carefully crafted to ensure market competitiveness, equity, and reflect the individual candidate’s education, experience, skills and potential.Hunter Douglas is an Equal Opportunity Employer and complies with applicable employment laws.
