Contract (13 Weeks) | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 3x12-Hour Shifts) | 36 or 48 Hours Available | Every Other Weekend, Every Other Holiday

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 12-bed Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit with a 1:4 patient ratio
• Manage and monitor patients with diagnoses including respiratory illnesses, renal illnesses, diabetes, sepsis, cellulitis, infections, heart failure, sickle cell, and cystic fibrosis
• Document all patient care activities and clinical assessments accurately using Epic EMR
• Float within scope of practice as needed per facility float policy
• Participate in orientation modules, including specialty-specific training, during the onboarding period

Required Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license (pending license accepted; must be in hand by the Wednesday before start date)
• BLS certification required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Nursys verification required at time of submission
• Must adhere to facility float policy; travelers must float within their scope of practice as needed
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible (locals are not accepted for this unit)
• Maximum 40 hours of requested time off per 13-week contract; all RTO must be disclosed at submission — no additional RTO will be approved after offer acceptance
• Candidates who have previously reached 365 total assignment days at this facility are not eligible to return

Preferred Experience / Skills

• BSN preferred
• Prior experience in a Medical Surgical/Telemetry setting
• Experience managing high-acuity diagnoses such as heart failure, sepsis, or sickle cell disease
