About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: RN License Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Cardiac Telemetry or PCU/ICU experience. - Ability to read and interpret EKGs and telemetry strips. - Experience with post-cardiac procedural care including Ablations, cardiac catheterizations, Post Op Day 1 Open Heart, and permanent Pacemaker placements. - Proficiency in administering and titrating IV medications such as insulin, Cardizem, Cardene, and Amiodarone. Description: This position is for a registered nurse specializing in telemetry. The unit has 29 beds with a patient ratio of 1:4. Staffing includes a charge nurse, unit secretary, and patient care technicians. Key equipment includes Alaris IV pumps, SCD machines, Hill Rom beds, and telemetry monitors. Documentation is completed using a specified system. Registered nurses must work full-time hours including 3 weekend shifts per scheduling period. Contract nurses may float to areas where they have demonstrated competency. Patient experience goals must be aligned with courteous and respectful treatment. Nurses are expected to respond promptly to call lights and engage patients in personalized care. Advanced skills such as IV insertions, NGT placement, and Foley insertions are required.
