About the Role
The Company is seeking an Associate Vice President for Major Giving to play a pivotal role in the development of a relationship-centered and performance-driven major gifts program. The successful candidate will be responsible for frontline fundraising, strategic leadership, and partnership with senior executives to create compelling philanthropic opportunities. This role requires a trusted thought partner who can work closely with the Foundation President, executive, and physician leaders to shape fundraising strategy and enhance the effectiveness of major gift fundraising. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree, with an advanced degree or CFRE preferred, and 10-15+ years of experience in major gifts fundraising, particularly in a hospital or academic medical center setting. Key responsibilities for the Associate Vice President, Major Giving include serving as a central leader in the evolution of the major gifts program, managing a team of frontline fundraisers, and demonstrating a strong ability to secure six- and seven-figure gifts. The role demands a professional with a proven track record of success, the ability to partner effectively with various stakeholders, and a commitment to the values of the organization. The candidate should be adept at balancing opportunity, organizational readiness, donor intent, and timing, and be dedicated to the principles of thoughtful strategy, disciplined portfolio management, and collaboration with clinical partners. A CFRE certification is preferred, and the role requires a candidate with sound judgment, curiosity, and the ability to advance relationships with clarity and purpose.
