Requirements

• Cardiopulmonary resuscitation
• Licensed dental hygienist
• Local Anesthesia Certification

Valid Wisconsin Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license
Valid Local Anesthesia Certification
Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Dental Hygiene
CPR certification (mandatory)
Excellent communication skills and professional demeanor
Knowledge of practice management software
Ability to maintain OSHA and HIPAA standards
Ability to transfer patients safely and lift up to 50 pounds
Comfortable walking up/down stairs and alternating between standing and sitting

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
Perform nonsurgical periodontal therapy, prophylaxis, radiographs, and periodontal exams
Conduct patient education and oral hygiene instructions
Administer local anesthesia and apply sealants, fluoride, and chlorhexidine irrigation
Assist in identifying oral conditions via clinical evaluation, photos, and patient interviews
Maintain accurate patient charts and treatment records
Sterilize instruments and ensure infection control per OSHA guidelines
Support recare protocols and reappointments, aiming for 80% reappointment rate
Manage hygiene supplies, organize, and restock supplies and hygiene bags
Deep clean operatory during downtime (scrubbing floors, windows, blinds)
Assist with sterilization, laundry, and emergency patients
Cross-train for front desk duties such as answering phones and scheduling
Package biohazards and coordinate pickups
