Aquinas Consulting is currently looking to fill a Team Lead in Supply Chain, job in Danbury, CT. This CONTRACT hire job is available with one of our key customers in the HVAC control systems. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and uninterrupted supply of raw materials, semi-finished products, and components along with auxiliary plant equipment, spare parts and services. In order to be successful in this position, you must have a background in business or technical field. Preference will be given to someone with experience in optimizing supply chain with Direct Manufacturers of control valves or similar technology.

Team Lead Job responsibilities:

• Procure finished goods, raw materials, semi-finished products and components, auxiliary plant equipment, and spare parts and services.
• Manage projects with respect to valve manufacturing and distribution
• Provide leadership to responsible team in everyday operations to ensure optimum supply availability.
• Coach and mentor team by delegating tasks in projects to build up supply chain knowledge.
• Validating new and existing suppliers, benchmarking, always considering Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)

Qualifications:

• Five plus years of experience in purchasing and optimization supply chain with direct manufacturers of control valves.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, coach and mentor others successfully in a team environment and communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
• Strategic Sourcing experience with international and domestic suppliers
