Position Details The Office of the Vice Provost for Global Affairs has primary responsibility for shaping and implementing the University’s global strategy while supporting global activity across campus. The Office of the Vice Provost for Global Affairs includes Global Education, Global Partnerships, Global Research Institute, International Student and Scholar Services, Global Communications, The Duke- UNC Rotary Peace Center, and the Business Office/Unified Business Center. Responsibilities Preparing background and preparation materials for speakers and campus partners Managing run-of-show documents for events Maintaining the CDF Lounge Coordinating with the Special Advisor to the Vice Provost and Executive Assistant to the Vice Provost on various events and programs Performing other duties as assigned Qualifications / Management Preferences Exceptional written and verbal communication skills Excellent organizational abilities with keen attention to detail Proven capacity to work independently while managing multiple projects simultaneously Experience in a university environment Track record of successfully managing projects from initiation through completion, consistently meeting milestones and deadlines Special Physical/Mental Requirements Ability to move up to 20lbs. with or without accommodation.
