Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist physical therapists in implementing treatment plans for veterans
- Help patients improve mobility, relieve pain, and restore function
- Document patient progress and adjust treatments as needed
- Educate patients and families on exercise programs and home safety
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care
Qualifications
- Current Physical Therapist Assistant license in Oklahoma
- Associate degree from an accredited PTA program
- Experience in a rehabilitation or long-term care setting preferred
- Prior DOR experience highly valued
- Compassionate and patient-focused approach
Education
- Associate degree in Physical Therapist Assisting from an accredited program
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of therapeutic exercises and modalities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team
- Proficiency in documentation and EHR systems
