Works collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team to maintain standards for professional nursing practice. Carries out functions according to hospital policy, the hospital mission, and standards of practice defined by professional and regulatory guidelines. Directs, coordinates and delegates activities in order to foster patient / family centered care./ph3Essential Functions and Responsibilities:/h3ulliAssesses the physical, psychosocial, and educational needs of the patient./liliPlans and implements nursing care according to patient and family needs./liliMakes appropriate interventions based upon individual patient needs./liliEvaluates patient responses to nursing interventions./liliAssumes personal responsibility for quality patient care, patient satisfaction, environment and professional development./liliMaintains a safe environment for patients, families, and staff./liliPerforms other related job duties as assigned./li/ulh3Qualifications:/h3pRequired:/pulliGraduate of a Nursing program./liliCurrent State of Michigan Registered Nurse license/liliBLS certification from American Heart Association (AHA), American Red Cross (ARC), or Canadian equivalent, is required before start date and valid at least 60 days beyond start date/liliACLS required by end of unit orientation for CCL, PACU, ENDO, IR, ICU, ED, CDU, CSS, CSU, Ambulatory Surgery, and the Step-Down Unit/liliNRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required by end of unit orientation for PEDS/li/ulpPreferred:/pulliBachelor of Science in Nursing./liliWound Care Certification (WCC/ WOCN /CWCA) if working in Wound Care Center-preferred Wound Care Certification MUST BE OBTAINED WITHIN 12 MOS OF HIRE DATE./liliOne year related specialty care experience preferred for Cardiac Cath Lab, OR/PASS (Post Anesthesia Care Unit), IR (Interventional Radiology), ICU, Endo or Ambulatory Surgery./li/ulh3Weekend/Holiday Requirements:/h3pSelected candidate will be required to work weekends 2 and 4 of the 28-day schedule, as well as the Holiday B rotation./ph3Equal Opportunity Employer of Minorities/Females/Disabled/Veterans/h3/div
