Warehouse Manager

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the professional, timely, and safe delivery of the Club's supplies, member supplies, island customer supplies, from the mainland warehouse to BHI, and then to their residences or business addresses. The Warehouse Manager must exercise considerable initiative and independent judgement to ensure proper operation and administration of the warehouse function.

Role & Responsibilities

• Manage the organization and cleanliness of the warehouse
• Receive Member delivery requests, schedule, plan the truck loading, and barge reservations.
• Bill members and businesses for deliveries
• Operate the box truck, adhering to all safety guidelines
• Load goods in a manner in which they will arrive safely
• Deliver pallets and items to Member homes, as they are received
• Supervise the warehouse staff, coaching and scheduling as needed
• Advise management of any complaints as soon as they occur
• Handle ordering of supplies, as needed
• Complete all opening, side, & closing duties, as instructed
• Be detail-oriented and able to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Utilize BHI Club vehicles to pick up supplies on the mainland from Ace, Lowe's, Walmart, Tractor Supply, Builder's First, etc.
• Solve problems, work as a team, be a leader, and inspire happiness
• Operate within all guidelines, policies, standards, and constraints as established by the Club, and assist in the implementation of BHIC mandatory standards of operations
• Maintain employee workload analysis data sheet to determine the volume of product being shipped to BHI. Information Data Sheet provides volume of product by pallet load, pallet percentage per employee, and year to year totals.
• Enters appropriate inventory tracking data into computer
• Maintain vehicle maintenance records, coordinates information to appropriate maintenance personnel and oversees Vehicle Inspection List for department vehicles, including scheduling of annual Registration Inspection & Insurance renewals.
• Confers with Supervisory personnel and other staff concerning operational needs.
