Nurse PositionShift: Monday-Friday 7AM-4PM and rotating Saturdays 5:30AM-10:30AMCommunity Medical Services (CMS) is urgently hiring a nurse to administer medication to patients recovering from addictions to opioids and other illicit substances. In your role as a dosing nurse, you'll work under the supervision of the clinic manager to conduct required testing, maintain the medication inventory, audit records, and assist medical providers in providing a safe place for anyone looking to start their recovery journey with us.As part of our mission to help individuals recover from substance use disorders, you'll thrive in a supportive, engaging, and fulfilling work environment where your contributions are valued.Along the way, we'll invest in your well-being through a benefits package that includes:Subsidized medical, dental, and vision insuranceHealth savings accountShort and long-term disability insuranceLife insurancePaid sick, vacation, and holiday time401K retirement plan with matchTuition and CME reimbursement up to 100%Employee assistance program to support your mental health and wellnessOngoing professional developmentWe're looking for someone who:Is excited to work in an outpatient setting, much like a doctor's office.Enjoys a consistent schedule.Likes to chat—you won't be physically moving patients in this role, but you will be having conversations with them all day.To thrive in this role, you must be able to:Administer medications as ordered/prescribed by a CMS medical providerMonitor behavioral patterns, medical symptoms, and physical symptoms related to dosage, as well as other symptoms related to drug use and mental health concernsObtain vital signs, blood specimens, and urine samplesProcess point-of-care urine drug screens per company policyPrepare take-home medication (n/a in Montana)Monitor medication administration closely to prevent diversionReport diversion to proper internal authoritiesMaintain accurate client records in company's EHR systemDocument medication errors and respond to adverse medical reactions per company policyArrange temporary incoming and outgoing courtesy dosing clientsDeliver medications to external facilitiesOrder necessary dosing room and nursing-related suppliesMaintain accurate medication inventory recordsAdhere to all federal, state, local, and accrediting body regulationsAdminister CPR if necessaryRequirements:Licensed LPN in state of employmentCPR certification requiredAbility to travel to assigned CMS sitesValid Driver License and Motor Vehicle Clearance (satisfactory driving record for 39 months)Experience in the field of substance use disorders preferred, but not requiredKnowledge of the signs of intoxication and opioid withdrawal symptomsDemonstrates accuracy in medication administration and ability to maintain accurate client recordsMust have reliable transportationAbout Community Medical Services:Community Medical Services (CMS) is a CARF-accredited addiction treatment program providing services in the form of outpatient medication-assisted treatment and one-on-one and group counseling to those seeking help with their opioid use disorder.
