Senior Procurement Specialist

Abbott seeks a Senior Procurement Specialist to lead sourcing and procurement initiatives for critical goods and services. The role involves supplier evaluation, contract negotiation, and strategic partnerships to drive value and supply reliability across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers meeting organizational quality, cost, delivery, and service requirements
- Lead sourcing activities and procurement projects for complex or high-impact categories
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and supplier agreements to achieve favorable commercial outcomes
- Monitor supplier performance metrics including quality, delivery, and reliability
- Develop innovative sourcing strategies and mentor junior procurement team members
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Procurement, Finance, Operations, or related field
- Minimum 4 years of procurement, sourcing, purchasing, or supply chain experience
- Experience identifying, evaluating, and managing supplier relationships
- Demonstrated success negotiating contracts, pricing, and commercial agreements
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities
- Proficiency with procurement systems and Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Compensation: $78,000–$156,000 base
