Senior Procurement Specialist

Abbott Nutrition seeks a Senior Procurement Specialist to develop and execute packaging procurement strategies across the U.S. region. The role involves supplier selection, contract negotiation, cost optimization, and cross-functional collaboration to support business objectives and drive value creation.
Responsibilities
- Implement packaging category procurement strategies aligned with global procurement objectives
- Lead supplier identification, evaluation, and selection to support operational needs
- Conduct competitive sourcing events including RFIs and RFPs with supplier evaluation
- Negotiate supplier contracts and manage relationships to achieve favorable commercial terms
- Track and report key procurement metrics including savings, performance, and sourcing effectiveness
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering, or related field
- 2+ years of procurement, sourcing, supply chain, or related experience
- Strong expertise in strategic sourcing, contract management, and supplier negotiations
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deliver cost savings initiatives
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to develop business cases
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to travel up to 15%
Compensation: $78,000.00 – $156,000.00 base
