Director, Financial Compliance

Stryker Orthopaedics

Lead financial compliance for the Medical Division, overseeing technical accounting, US GAAP, internal controls, SOX compliance, and corporate finance policies. Partner with business leaders and finance teams to strengthen financial reporting integrity and enable strategic execution.

Responsibilities

Serve as finance business partner for Medical Division on technical accounting and compliance matters
Lead research and document accounting conclusions on complex transactions with Corporate Technical Accounting
Oversee divisional financial results submission and balance sheet review process
Establish quarter-end financial compliance requirements and manage SOX compliance and audit activities
Lead and develop the Medical Financial Compliance team with performance management and training

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
10+ years relevant accounting experience including public accounting
CPA or CMA preferred
Strong knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley, PCAOB standards, and US GAAP
Ability to lead through influence in matrixed organizations
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Complex accounting research and analytical ability

Compensation: $135,600-$225,900 USD Annual
