About Us:

Samovar Lounge is a new restaurant in Woodbridge, VA, offering authentic Mediterranean flavors in a welcoming and modern dining environment, in addition to an oasis to smoke hookah and live entertainment. We are seeking a talented and passionate Mediterranean Chef to join our kitchen team and help deliver an exceptional culinary experience to our guests.

Role Overview:

The Mediterranean Chef will be responsible for preparing high-quality Mediterranean dishes, designing and developing menu offerings, maintaining kitchen standards, and ensuring consistency, efficiency, and food safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare authentic Mediterranean dishes with consistent quality and presentation.
• Design and develop menus and seasonal specials.
• Maintain food safety and sanitation standards.
• Manage food inventory and minimize waste.
• Ensure kitchen cleanliness and organization.
• Work efficiently during busy service periods.
• Support and guide kitchen staff as needed.

Requirements:

• Proven experience cooking Mediterranean cuisine.
• Strong knowledge of Mediterranean ingredients and cooking techniques.
• Ability to design and develop menus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented.
• Knowledge of food safety standards.
• Culinary training or certification is a plus.
