Senior Systems Portfolio Engineer

Salary: $100,000 - 140,000 per year Requirements:

• We require a bachelors degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science from an ABET-accredited or CAE-designated institution; equivalent experience may be considered in place of a degree.
• We require at least six years of technical experience performing similar duties.
• We require alignment with the Core and Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Tasks defined in the DoD Cyber Workforce Framework for Work Role 632 (NIST: SP-SYS-002).
• We require experience with system loading and reconfiguration, user account administration, backup and recovery, troubleshooting, component and peripheral replacement, and software, operating system, and driver installation.
• We require experience with Ansible, Windows 7, Windows 2008, Windows 10, VMware ESXi v5 or later, Windows 2012, Linux, UNIX platforms including SUN, SGI, and PC variants, and Office 365.
• We require experience providing Microsoft SharePoint administration and management support.
• We require experience sustaining equipment operations through preventive maintenance inspections and repair scheduling.
• We require a current CompTIA Security+ certification.
• We prefer FITSP-D, GCSA, GISF, or SSCP certification.
• We require a current Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.
• We require the ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
• We require the ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• We require the ability to twist, bend, and squat periodically.

• We develop and coordinate technical solutions for requirements while ensuring compatibility with the HQ USSPACECOM infrastructure.
• We create and maintain Communication and Information Systems Installation Records (CSIRs) and Preventive Maintenance Inspection (PMI) reports.
• We provide information to the Government through databases and other tools in support of USSPACECOM processes.
• We prepare technical solutions, cost estimates, total cost of ownership and operation data, POA&Ms, LCM inputs and changes, and recommendations.
• We participate with USSPACECOM and external stakeholders in working groups, technical exchange meetings, and similar forums.
• We help assess mission requirements and support the development of technical requirements for multi-level classification networks and releasable classification levels.
• We work with customers and users to develop and review communication system requirements.
• We oversee the development and review of CR/TS documentation within service design packages for infrastructure, networks, computer systems, software, finance, installation, outside agency coordination, information assurance, and compatibility assurance.
• We provide technical network and systems engineering expertise to document solutions in service design packages that meet customer needs.
• We operate within the J6 IT governance process to help define requirements, develop technical solutions, and create work plans aligned with architectural and information system security guidance.
• We follow local procedures for preparing and processing communication system requirements.
• We coordinate technical solutions in line with the Government-approved communications requirements process and document them in service design packages.
• We describe infrastructure impacts, implementation methods, and means, including system descriptions, points of contact, implementation dates, hardware and software requirements, funding, and information classification.
• We ensure requirements are incorporated into project and implementation plans and coordinate logistics support, technical data, manpower, facilities, packaging, handling, storage, and transportation with the appropriate agencies.

In this role, you will join our team as a Senior Systems Portfolio Engineer, contributing to USSPACECOM-related technical planning, systems engineering, and communications requirements support.
