Senior Systems Engineer

DescriptionSAIC seeks a highly experienced and energetic Senior Systems Engineer to support the US Space Force, Space Systems Command, in performing operational maintenance and sustainment of ground-based radars critical to US and Allied strategic missile surveillance, warning, defense, and space surveillance missions. This position is located in Colorado Springs, Colorado.Job Duties:Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software or engineering specifications.Provides specific, detailed information for selection, implementation techniques, and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements.QualificationsBachelor’s Degree with 5+ years’ related experience.Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.Developing and/or sustaining national security, no-fail mission systems.Experience leading waterfall-to-agile transformations, designed to deliver Minimum Viable Products in a consistent cadence.Experience with a broad range of system types: custom developed HW/SW, COTS/GOTS HW/SW, and specialty engineering of exotic material/limited supply items.A high degree of proficiency using DOORs.Experience with implementing and sustaining distributed systems, virtual operating system environments, and virtual/augmented reality technologies.Desired:Active Secret Clearance.Experience in systems engineering, Model-based Systems Engineering and related areas, to include managing teams/projects delivering solutions for missile warning or other national security space mission systems.Knowledge of the Integrated Tactical Warning and Attack Assessment mission and associated enterprise.Experience maintaining national security mission networks.Job Field: Engineering and SciencesTravel: No
