Business Systems Architect [Remote]

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Business Systems Architect based in United States.

This contract role will shape the architecture, integration, and delivery of core enterprise business systems, with a primary focus on ServiceNow. You will help connect ServiceNow with ERP, CRM, HRIS, and other platforms to create scalable, automated, and reliable business processes. The role combines hands-on ServiceNow development with enterprise architecture, workflow automation, governance, and systems integration. Working across Finance, HR, Operations, Commercial, and IT, you will translate business needs into practical technical solutions. You will also help establish clear data ownership, integration standards, documentation, and sources of truth across the application landscape. Over a 12-month engagement, your work will help create a stronger foundation for operational efficiency and future systems growth.

Accountabilities:

• Define architecture and integration standards for core business applications, including system ownership, data flows, integration points, and sources of truth.
• Ensure ServiceNow, ERP, CRM, HRIS, and related enterprise platforms integrate effectively and remain aligned with business requirements.
• Configure and develop ServiceNow workflows, forms, integrations, automations, and related platform capabilities.
• Support ServiceNow ITSM, CSM, EAM, CMDB, and other relevant capabilities while maintaining development standards, documentation, and release controls.
• Translate business and operational processes into standardized workflows that reduce manual approvals, duplicate data entry, handoffs, and offline tracking.
• Support ERP and enterprise application implementations, enhancements, integrations, testing, and data migration initiatives.
• Partner with Finance, HR, Commercial, Operations, and IT stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
• Coordinate with vendors, implementation partners, and technical consultants to ensure technical deliverables meet business, security, integration, and architectural requirements.
• Establish and maintain system governance, access controls, change management, support processes, application roadmaps, and integration inventories.
• Identify opportunities to simplify processes, eliminate shadow systems and manual workarounds, and improve data consistency.
• Enable business stakeholders to adopt standardized workflows and leverage enterprise system capabilities more effectively.
• Deliver a stable, scalable systems foundation that supports future business growth and operational maturity throughout the 12-month engagement.

Requirements:

• 7+ years of experience supporting enterprise business systems architecture, implementation, and integration.
• Strong hands-on experience developing and administering ServiceNow, including workflow automation, integrations, and platform configuration.
• Experience supporting ERP, CRM, HRIS, and other enterprise applications within complex business environments.
• Strong understanding of enterprise system integrations, APIs, data architecture, workflow automation, and application interoperability.
• Demonstrated ability to gather business requirements and translate them into scalable, practical technical solutions.
• Experience working cross-functionally with Finance, HR, Operations, Commercial, IT, and other business stakeholders.
• Experience managing third-party vendors, implementation partners, and technical consultants.
• Strong documentation, governance, access management, and change management capabilities.
• Ability to evaluate solutions based on scalability, security, integration requirements, and business value.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to balance technical architecture with practical business needs and operational priorities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Willingness and ability to commit to the full 12-month contract duration.
