Senior Staff Analyst - Personal Property Tax

We are seeking an experienced Senior Staff Analyst to support business personal property tax compliance, appeals, and incentive planning for a diverse client portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Manage business personal property tax filings and compliance deadlines.

• Review and audit fixed asset listings and depreciation schedules.

• Prepare renditions, returns, and supporting documentation.

• Research property tax issues, exemptions, abatements, and incentives.

• Assist with informal and formal property tax appeals.

• Communicate directly with clients regarding data requests, filings, and project updates.

• Maintain workpapers, tax databases, and project schedules.

• Collaborate with team members to identify tax-saving opportunities for clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Mathematics, or related field.

• 5+ years of experience in Business Personal Property Tax or SALT.

• Experience preparing and reviewing personal property tax returns/renditions.

• Strong understanding of fixed assets, depreciation schedules, and property tax compliance.

• Experience supporting appeals, exemptions, or incentive programs.

• Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP).

• Experience with PTMS, PPT Plus, Karbon, Appeal Track, or similar software is a plus.
