Position Security Officer – Weekend Shopping Plaza Driver Patrol Location: Santee, CA Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $18.50 / Hour Job Schedule Saturday: 10:00 PM – 06:30 AM Sunday: 10:00 PM – 06:30 AM What You’ll Do Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or property staff by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents, tenant concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with property management and/or emergency personnel as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the property, including common areas, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations, to help deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions. Monitor entry and exit activity, observe for unauthorized access, and report maintenance, lighting, and/or property issues that could affect daily operations at the location. Support a professional presence at a commercial real estate location by following post orders, preparing incident reports, and assisting with security‑related needs in a courteous manner. Minimum Requirements Be at least 21 years of age. A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. A guard card and/or license is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
