Industrial Maintenance Technician

We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician to be responsible for performing routine and preventative maintenance tasks on all industrial machinery and equipment. This role is also responsible for troubleshooting and repairing any issues with all machines and equipment as the need arises.

Industrial Maintenance Technician Duties and Responsibilities

·        Perform routine inspections and corrective maintenance of industrial machinery and equipment.

·        Diagnose and repair any malfunctions or breakdowns.

·        Perform preventative maintenance as needed.

·        Assist in developing and implementing maintenance plans.

·        Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities.

·        Ensure all safety regulations are followed.

·        Train employees on proper equipment usage.

·        Order and maintain inventory on appropriate supplies.

·        Advise operations manager on all capital equipment purchases.

·        Select and contract specialists on larger maintenance related projects.  (i.e., electricians, plumbers)

·        Other duties as assigned and needed on a daily basis.

·        Perform routine grounds maintenance (i.e., snow and ice removal)

Industrial Maintenance Technician Requirements and Qualifications

·        High school diploma or GED

·        At least 2 years of experience in industrial maintenance

·        Demonstrated knowledge of industrial machinery and equipment

·        Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

·        Demonstrated self-starter and has the ability to work with minimal supervision.

·        Skilled in plumbing, electrical, hydraulics, diesel engine repair, small engines and pneumatics. 

·        Must be experienced and have the ability to operate industrial machinery.  (i.e., forklifts, overhead cranes, loaders, and ready-mix trucks.)

·        Flexible schedule.  Ability to work evenings and weekends if needed.

·        Must pass a background check and drug test.

Preferred Qualifications

·        The ability to problem solve and troubleshoot in a fast-paced environment.

·        The ability to work in a collaborative environment to deliver projects in a timely manner. 5 years’ experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance.

·        OSHA 10 certification (preferred).

·        Experience in welding, fabrication, and air compressors 

·        Experience with concrete batching equipment

·        Experience in HVAC (furnace, LP gas and natural gas)

·        2 plus years of supervisory experience

·        Bilingual

·        Technical certification and/or degree
