Responsibilities

• Provide
  
  
  preventive

  therapeutic
  
  
  dental
  
  
  hygiene
  
  
  care
  
  
  to
  
  
  patients
  
  
  of
  
  
  all
  
  
  ages.
• Perform
  
  
  periodontal
  
  
  assessments,
  
  
  charting,
  
  
  scaling,
  
  
  root
  
  
  planing,
  
  
  and
  
  
  prophylaxis
  
  
  procedures.
• Take
  
  
  and
  
  
  evaluate
  
  
  digital
  
  
  radiographs.
• Educate
  
  
  patients
  
  
  on
  
  
  oral
  
  
  health,
  
  
  home
  
  
  care,
  
  
  and
  
  
  treatment
  
  
  recommendations.
• Partner
  
  
  with
  
  
  doctors
  
  
  and
  
  
  team
  
  
  members
  
  
  to
  
  
  deliver
  
  
  comprehensive
  
  
  patient
  
  
  care.
• Accurately document patient treatment
  and
  
  
  clinical
  
  
  findings.
• Maintain
  
  
  compliance
  
  
  with
  
  
  OSHA,
  
  
  HIPAA,
  
  
  and
  
  
  office
  
  
  protocols.
• Help
  
  
  create
  
  
  a
  
  
  positive
  
  
  patient
  
  
  experience
  
  
  by
  
  
  providing
  
  
  compassionate,
  
  
  high-quality
  
  
  care.

Qualifications

• Current
  
  
  Dental
  
  
  Hygienist
  
  
  license
  
  
  in
  
  
  the
  
  
  state
  
  
  of
  
  
  Florida.
• Current
  
  
  CPR
  
  
  certification.
• Spanish speaking is a plus
• Dentrix
  
  
  experience
  
  
  preferred,
  
  
  but
  
  
  not
  
  
  required.
• Strong
  
  
  communication
  
  
  and
  
  
  interpersonal
  
  
  skills.
• Motivated

Qualifications:

• Current dental hygienist license
• Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
• CPR Certification

Preferred Experience

• Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays and electronic medical record systems
• Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients' dental health
• Clinical needs as required by office
