Business Analyst

Job Description We are seeking a strategic Business Analyst for our client in the retail sector, focused on pet products. The role is based in Phoenix, Arizona and requires analytical rigor and cross‑functional collaboration to translate data into actionable insights that drive operational improvements, customer experience enhancements, and revenue optimization. The successful candidate will partner with product, operations, sales, and IT teams to define requirements, build reporting capabilities, and support data‑driven decision making across the organization. Key activities include requirements gathering, process mapping, KPI development, data storytelling, and delivering both ad hoc and recurring analyses. The position offers visibility across business units and the potential to influence critical initiatives within a dynamic, consumer‑focused environment. Key Responsibilities Partner with cross‑functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into clear requirements for data, reporting, and process improvements. Develop and maintain dashboards and reports that enable stakeholders to monitor performance, identify trends, and make informed decisions. Conduct data analysis to uncover opportunities for efficiency, cost savings, and revenue growth, using statistical methods and data visualization. Support project initiatives by producing actionable insights and data‑backed recommendations, including impact assessments and ROI calculations. Assist in process mapping, business case development, and requirement prioritization to align with strategic goals. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Business, Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field. 3+ years of experience as a Data Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar role in a retail or consumer‑focused organization. Proficiency with SQL and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar). Strong problem‑solving and communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly to non‑technical stakeholders. Experience in a fast‑paced retail environment is a plus.
