Pricing Analyst

Are you an analytical sharp-shooter with strong pricing, margin analysis, and merchandising experience? We are recruiting a Senior Pricing & Merchandising Analyst for an industry-leading, global commercial distribution powerhouse based in Laurel, MD ! In this dynamic, high-impact role, you will work closely with sales and purchasing leadership—including VP-level executives to optimize gross margins, drive item-level pricing strategies, and manage major contract bids. Key Responsibilities: Drive Profitability: Analyze daily customer and item-level margin reports to maximize adjusted gross profit and uncover margin-enhancement opportunities. Pricing Strategy: Formulate item-level pricing, set cost bases, and analyze earned income to build optimal pricing structures. Contract & Bid Management: Oversee the setup, accuracy, and maintenance of Corporate Multi-Unit (CMU) and local contract bids and order guides. Market & Trend Analysis: Monitor daily market shifts to recommend timely price adjustments on bids and national/market costs. Leadership Collaboration: Partner directly with Sales and Purchasing teams to build custom queries, financial reports, and strategic pricing recommendations. What We Are Looking For: Experience: 5+ years of dedicated experience in pricing, margin analysis, or merchandising (foodservice, wholesale, CPG, or B2B commercial distribution background is a huge plus!). Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred; High School Diploma required. Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office/Excel, strong analytical capabilities, and experience creating custom queries/reports. Communication: Exceptional written and verbal skills to interface effectively with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
