This large hospital provides comprehensive surgical services with established anesthesia protocols designed to support quality patient care delivery. The facility operates under a supervision and hands-on staffing model to manage diverse pediatric and adult surgical cases. The hospital maintains modern anesthesia capabilities while requiring clinicians to demonstrate competency across both pediatric fellowship training and adult case management.

Albany offers diverse attractions centered around government and cultural landmarks, including the New York State Capitol Building, MVP Arena, and The Egg performing arts center. Visitors can experience the area through Hudson River cruises, historic downtown walking tours, and observation deck views from Corning Tower. The pediatric anesthesiologist will provide comprehensive anesthesia services during 5x10 hour shifts with a minimum commitment of 3 weeks per month. The clinician will manage mixed pediatric and adult cases requiring board certification and fellowship training in pediatric anesthesia while maintaining strong adult skill set capabilities. The position operates under a supervision model with typically 1:3 CRNA oversight and requires flexibility to run individual rooms when needed. The credentialing process requires 60-90 days completion time.
