Position Overview: This role involves conducting diagnostic examinations on patients utilizing ultrasound technology to assess tissues and bodily structures, ensuring high-quality images are available for analysis. Candidates must be registered sonographers with at least two relevant certifications for the specific departments they serve, such as ABD/OB, ABD/MSK, ABD/BR, or OB/FE.

• Utilize the second registry in either the primary or secondary department at least 30% of the time.
• Prepare and calibrate all necessary equipment, manually adjusting transducers to conduct examinations.
• Adhere to safety protocols and execute quality control measures effectively.
• Carry out both routine and advanced imaging studies, assisting in various procedures.
• Identify significant anatomical structures, artifacts, pathologies, and limitations of the equipment.
• Ensure all equipment is functioning correctly and report any issues to the appropriate personnel, including locking/tagging out equipment when necessary.
• Submit all high-quality images and documentation to PACS promptly, ensuring correct labeling and patient history.
• Help maintain a clean and organized department, including procedure rooms, storage areas, and dressing rooms.
• Comply with all regulatory standards.
• Maintain a state of alertness and safety at all times.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned.

• Completion of an accredited Sonography program.

• No prior experience is necessary.

• Regularly required to stand and walk.
• Frequent use of vision for both near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) distances.
• Regularly engage in oral communication, utilizing hearing and speech.
• Frequently distinguish body sounds and detect alarms or equipment malfunctions through hearing.
• Occasionally lift or carry objects weighing between 25-50 lbs.
• Regularly lift and move patients.
• Frequent reaching, gripping, and data entry on a keyboard.
• Occasional bending, stooping, squatting, twisting, and repetitive movements of the legs and arms.
• Rarely required to kneel or sit.
