SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST School Year

Description Position: Speech Language Pathologist (2026‑2027 School Year) Employment Status: PRN, up to 29 hours per week Pay: $48 per hour Reports To: Testing Supervisor Location: St. Louis City, St. Louis County, Jefferson County, St. Charles County Qualifications Master's degree from an accredited school Licensed in the state of Missouri ASHA Certification Experience providing Speech and Language evaluations and treatment to children and/or adolescents Ability to utilize personal computer to submit reports in a timely manner Position Summary The Speech Language Pathologist evaluates speech and language skills for children and adolescents and provides appropriate treatment/interventions to improve upon deficit areas. Responsibilities Provide a comprehensive and professional assessment of each child's strengths and weaknesses related to speech and language issues. Develop appropriate IEP therapy goals to access the general education curriculum and/or private therapy goals to assist families in reaching realistic goals for treatment. Develop a treatment plan and update it as appropriate. Work as part of an educational team and establish rapport with school staff and parents. Support partner school staff by providing expertise, input, and advice in speech and language areas. Maintain adequate progress notes for IEP goals, insurance, and other stakeholders. Write IEP goals, present level of performance, and quarterly progress notes as assigned by school staff. Follow the partner school's calendar with regular attendance and notify school and MLC staff in case of an absence; make up IEP minutes in a timely manner and document them. Maintain contact with other professionals to ensure coordinated treatment efforts. Submit billing in a timely manner. Perform any other duties specified by supervisor and/or school staff.
