These markets include aerospace and defense, factory automation, air and water quality environmental monitoring, electronics design and development, oceanographic research, deepwater oil and gas exploration and production, medical imaging and pharmaceutical research.Teledyne Microwave Solutions is hiring a Quality Inspector to perform all aspects of In-process, Final and Receiving Inspection of TMS products using a variety of standard inspection tools. Receiving Inspection products may include but are not limited to printed circuit board assemblies, a wide variety of piece parts, housings, covers, and chemicals In-process inspection work may include, but is not limited to piece parts, hybrid microcircuits; and PCBAs. Final product inspection for mechanical measurements First Article Inspections (FAI) reports.What you'll doReview documentation, inspect the product to ensure compliance with Teledyne Customer requirementsInspect parts, sub-assemblies, and final products for conformance to specificationsWork with Quality Engineering and Manufacturing regarding the reporting of quality discrepanciesOther duties, projects, and tasks assignedWhat you needU.S. Citizen (required)Comfortable using a variety of measurement tools – calipers, micrometers, pin gages, optical comparatorAble to multitask, willing to learn and cross-train in multiple areas (Incoming, In-process, / Final QA)Able to learn a wide range of product inspectionsComfortable and able to work with a diverse workforceExcellent communication skillsExcellent work habits -- responsible, organized, attention to detailHigh School diploma or equivalent5-7 years of directly related experience or certified to J-STD-001 or IPC-A-610; if not already certified, ability to become IPC-A-610 certified at CIS level3 - 5 years' experience performing inspections to MIL-STD-883, Methods 2010, 2017, 2032 or documents based on these criteria. It is acceptable to have experience using other inspection criteriaExperience using low and high-power microscopesHands-on experience with any type of Nonconformance Report system, to create and update Nonconformance Reports.
